How to reach and beat Talos
Where he sits
Talos is The Builder. The room is the Throne of the Builder in the Clock Tower. Listed health is 5,000 and experience is 900. He drops The Builder card: the Fist of Talos spell and the Smash skill. Smash is the aerial down-input that breaks blocks.
Rock Paper Shotgun calls him the hardest of the three big ability bosses. A corridor-by-corridor approach is not published. The Clock Tower map names Foundry Apex, Mechanic's Ascent, and Eastern Summit as the landings on the way up.
Why you come back to this card
Fist of Talos is also a prerequisite for Arthur in the Chapel. The weapon line has a separate Fists of Talos at the third tier. The spell and the weapon share a name and are not the same pickup. Notre-Dame's east seal wants Smash as well.
What I ran into
I equipped the fist weapon and wondered why Arthur still would not start. The spell on The Builder card was the requirement. Same words, different slot. That distinction is the paragraph I cared about getting right.
