Who is responsible

The operator of belmontscurse.net is the publisher of this site. Privacy requests go to [email protected]. The site is a set of static pages. It does not offer accounts, and it does not ask you to type a name, an address, or payment details.

This policy describes the scripts and storage the pages use on 23 October 2026. A third-party script is added to this page in the same update that adds it to the site. If a network is removed, its name and its storage rows are removed here too.

Default loading and the Reject choice

With no saved choice, Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra ads load on the first page view while the cookie banner stays visible. This is a default-on design, not a gate. The banner is there to tell you what runs and to let you withdraw.

Click Reject and the site stores a denial in localStorage for 180 days, turns the Google consent signals off, and removes the GA4, Clarity and Adsterra scripts already created on that page view. Later page views with that stored denial do not create the GA4 tag at all, so no request reaches www.googletagmanager.com. Accept stores a grant for 180 days and loads GA4, Clarity and Adsterra again. Cookie settings in the footer opens the banner at any time, so either choice can be changed without clearing site data.

Global Privacy Control is treated as a rejection: the page writes denied and does not start the three scripts. A Do Not Track header is also treated as a rejection by the loaders. Neither signal is ignored in favour of a stored grant.

Google Analytics 4

GA4 measurement ID G-XRSSMGZ54S loads its tag from www.googletagmanager.com and sends measurement requests to www.google-analytics.com. The tag records page views, scroll and outbound-link events, approximate location derived from the request, device and browser type, and a random client identifier. Google Analytics documents that GA4 does not log or store full IP addresses.

GA4 sets the _ga cookie (up to two years) and a _ga_<container> cookie for the property (up to two years), and may keep a queue in page memory or localStorage depending on the tag version and browser. The event-data retention period is a property setting and is not exposed in this static site. Purpose: aggregate audience measurement and content improvement. The tag runs by default unless a stored Reject is present. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy; the Google Analytics opt-out add-on is at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Microsoft Clarity

Clarity project z23svuk2nt loads its tag from www.clarity.ms, which loads the recorder from scripts.clarity.ms; collection requests go to rotating hosts under *.clarity.ms. Clarity records heatmaps, clicks, scrolling, and session replays, together with a pseudonymous session identifier, the page URL, browser, device, and approximate location. Form inputs and other sensitive fields are masked by default.

Clarity sets the _clck and _clsk cookies and may set the Microsoft CLID and MUID cookies. Microsoft retains playback data for 30 days, labelled or favourited sessions for nine months, and click and heatmap data for nine months. See learn.microsoft.com/en-us/clarity/setup-and-installation/data-retention and privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. The tag runs by default unless a stored Reject is present.

Adsterra advertising

Adsterra publisher 3403020, website 6144004, supplies two placements on this site: Native Banner NativeBanner_1 (unit 31878419) in the content area and Social Bar SocialBar_1 (unit 31878420) as a fixed bottom bar. Adult advertising is switched off in the Adsterra dashboard and this site never turns it on. The creative scripts load by default from bicea.org and may create iframes or images from Adsterra delivery domains that vary by creative.

Adsterra and its partners may set cookies or localStorage on their own domains to cap frequency, measure impressions and clicks, and choose a creative; the site does not control those values or their names. The ads.txt file declares adsterra.com, 3403020, DIRECT. Purpose: showing ads that fund the site. The tags run by default unless a stored Reject is present. Adsterra's privacy policy is at adsterra.com/privacy-policy. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com or youradchoices.com/control.

YouTube

A trailer is a local still image until you press Play. Play inserts an iframe from youtube-nocookie.com; YouTube then receives your IP address, the page URL, and device information, and may set cookies under Google's policy. The site does not receive the viewing data. YouTube is not requested on a page view, so Reject has nothing to stop unless you press Play; if you have rejected, the facade still works and YouTube's own choices apply once you press it. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Cookies and localStorage keys

The site itself writes no first-party cookies. The two localStorage records below are the only storage the site code owns; everything else is written by the vendors named above.

  • bc_consent_v1 (localStorage, 180 days): your Accept or Reject choice and its expiry. Fields: choice, expires. The site writes granted on a first visit with no saved choice so the default-on scripts have a record to read.
  • bc_socialbar_closed_v1 (localStorage, 180 days): set when you close the fixed Adsterra Social Bar. It keeps the bar from being created on later page views; remove it with your browser's site-data controls.
  • _ga, _ga_<container> (cookies): Google Analytics 4 client identifiers, up to two years.
  • _clck, _clsk, CLID, MUID (cookies): Microsoft Clarity session and user identifiers; lifetimes are set by Microsoft and the browser.
  • Adsterra and partner cookies (set on bicea.org or the creative's domain): ad delivery, frequency capping, impression and click measurement. Names and lifetimes are assigned by Adsterra; see its policy.
  • YouTube cookies (set after Play): video playback and preferences, under Google's policy.

Legal basis

Where consent is required, the legal basis for Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra storage is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). The bc_consent_v1 record exists to honour that choice and to keep the site from asking again on every page; that processing and aggregate measurement that does not identify you rely on the legitimate interest of the publisher in operating and improving the site (Article 6(1)(f)). You can withdraw consent at any time with Cookie settings, then Reject; withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before it.

Retention, sharing, and your rights

The GA4 event-data retention setting is configured in the property and has not been verified here, so no duration is claimed. Clarity playback data is retained for 30 days; labelled or favourited sessions and click or heatmap data for nine months. Adsterra keeps ad-delivery data under its own policy. Email you send is kept long enough to answer and to fix the page, then deleted. We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the processors named above and with the host that delivers the static files for security and delivery.

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, or a restriction by emailing [email protected], and you can complain to your local data protection authority. Because the site has no account, we may need the approximate date and page you used. You can also change the saved choice at any time with Cookie settings, then Reject, which takes effect on that page view and is remembered for 180 days.

Changes

The date at the top of this page is the date the text changed. Changes are posted on this URL and the previous text is replaced rather than archived. Continued use after that date is how you see the new text.

What I ran into

I wrote this against the scripts in the layout and the vendor references in ref/, not against a template. If a sentence names a vendor, that vendor is loaded on this site; YouTube is named because the trailer button really requests it after a click.

Questions

Do you run ads?

Yes. Adsterra supplies a Native Banner and a Social Bar, both loaded by default unless you have rejected. Adult advertising is off. The seller line is adsterra.com, 3403020, DIRECT.

How do I change the consent choice?

Use Cookie settings in the footer. Reject stores a denial for 180 days and removes GA4, Clarity and Adsterra from the page; Accept stores a grant and loads them again.

Does Reject stop analytics as well as ads?

Yes. A stored Reject keeps the GA4 tag from loading on later page views, stops Clarity, and removes the Adsterra scripts. It is remembered for 180 days.
