The user score was 7.7 from 311 ratings, with 74 percent positive, 10 percent mixed, and 16 percent negative. Four platform splits were visible as 84 from 65 reviews, 82 from 34, 79 from 8, and 87 from 8. The page grab did not label which platform was which, so this guide does not assign them.
Two quoted lines from that roundup: Region Free called it one of the best Castlevania games ever made, at 100, and Press Start Australia scored it 90 and wrote that 2D Castlevania never left. Those are their sentences, not this site's grade.

What I ran into
I do not score games on this site. I can read Metacritic and say what it said on a date. The missing platform labels bothered me more than the 84, because a wrong 'PS5 is the 79' would have been a clean-looking lie.
